Jan 10, 2013 · I recent purchased a Samsung 40" ES5500 smart tv but i can't get it to connect to the internet. I'm using a wired connection direct to my router (BT HomeHub3) and have BT Infinity broadband. Its routed through a Linksys SE2500 gigabit network switch and both my laptop and desktop work fine when connected to it using a wired connection.

After a lot of tests, we concluded that our router blocking the TV, so we connected to the router, added the TV's MAC address and assigned an IP address. Then when connecting from the TV we manually set the IP address, the subnet mask and the default gateway and it worked. Hope this can help! Cheers
